Willy, Bugsy and Lenny -- one way to get fish.

We are lazing at Princess Margaret beach and see this red, white and blue boat approach then pull up on shore.  The 3 guys on the boat are pretty active sorting out a ton of fish that  they just caught - some on nets, some trawled and other caught with a spear-gun.

They had mackarel and old wives, but of interest to Alicia was the shark... so she was off to see if she could get some. She asks, "Will you be selling some?" - Willy replies, "you can have some". Not exactly sure what was going to happen we waited. The shark was set aside so that the boat could be secured... now that became a great Tom Sawyer moment. They had 3 guys, no winch, no pulley and a few tree branches for rollers. They started to huff and puff and pretty much didn't get to far. They sure looked like they needed help. .. and it materialized.

Now with a bunch of people the boat was pushed into a secure position -- after about 15 minute of pushing, pulling, relocation of the rollers. Do they do this every time they come in?

Bugsy then took to the shark. A piece of plywood laid in the sand provided the cutting surface, a dull knife was soon replaced by a donated sharp knife from Jack's and after about 15 minutes, it was ready. One of the pushers was elated to have received the liver for her work. Alicia received a couple of hunks  for her designated pushers -- Kevin and Debbie.  "fa helpin wit de boaht"

To spare those among us who are queasy, I will include no photos of Bugsy cutting up the shark - which proved to be an event since the shark skin was quite tough and Bugsy's knife wasn't the sharpest.  But in the end, he did well.

In the end, we also did well  -- our take

Alicia cooked it simple.. with a little gazpacho and fried plantain. It was delicious!
