Whenever we are out fishing, we are looking around at what surrounds us. Often, we are in fields of flowers, or we see some small flower all by itself just trying to survive.
The areas that we are in can be lush or arid, but each zone offers chance to see flora, even if it is a huge prairie of sagebrush.
Here are a few flowers that we came across
A little yellow guy in a stream-side rock bed
Indian Paintbrush
Blue Gentian
A single Monkeyflower - these usually come in groups
An I don't know
Monkshood -- look carefully at the shape
Another I don't know
